Promoting Historic Preservation, Education, and Patriotism

The Apache Trail Chapter, NSDAR, strives to fulfill the objectives of DAR in the areas of historic preservation, education, and patriotism. Each year, we choose service projects our chapter members can perform together or separately. We also attend patriotic events and encourage our members to perform community service.

With a variety of community-oriented activities and projects in the Daughters of the American Revolution, our members can find many activities to choose from that further these DAR objectives. If you are interested in joining us or learning more about DAR membership, contact us for information on our meeting dates and location.

Historic Preservation

The Apache Trail Chapter, NSDAR, values our local history. A recent project was the installation of this historical marker celebrating the Apache Trail in Flatiron Community Park in the city of Apache Junction.

The chapter also supports four DAR approved schools:

  • Berry College

Patriotism

The Apache Trail Chapter, NSDAR, is a sponsoring chapter for Wreaths Across America. Each December we join people across the nation to remember and honor veterans by placing wreaths on veterans’ grave sites. Community members are invited to join the chapter in sponsoring and laying the wreaths.

Please visit Wreaths Across America to learn more about this event or to sponsor a wreath. If you would like to join chapter members to lay wreaths in a local cemetery, please contact our Wreaths Across America coordinator.
